DON AND SUE LUMMUS INDUCTED INTO L.S.S.C.M.A. HALL OF FAME

Don and Sue Lummus, of Henderson, were honored Sunday, October 14, 2001, by being inducted into the Lone Star State Country Music Association’s Hall of Fame during their annual convention and awards ceremony in Beaumont, Texas.
This honor was bestowed in recognition of Don’s and Sue’s long-term commitment and dedication to traditional country music.

Lone Star State CMA is one of the largest country music associations with over 8,000 members world-wide. Each year, awards are presented to deserving independent artists and industry representatives, as well as the legends of country music.
Their roster of Hall of Fame recipients include country legends Freddie Hart, Floyd Tillman, Tillman Franks, Merle Kilgore, Billie Jo Spears, Claude Gray, Lefty Frizzell, and several others.

HENDERSON’S TEXAS TRADITION BAND COLLECTS 3 L.S.S.C.M.A. AWARDS
Beaumont, Texas
October 14, 2001

Don & Sue Lummus, leaders of Henderson’s Texas Tradition Band, were honored today with dual inductions into the Lone Star State Country Music Association’s Hall of Fame. They now join the roster of previous inductees which include Floyd Tillman, Billie Jo Spears, Merle Kilgore, Claude Gray, Freddie Hart, Lefty Frizzell, and many other country music legends.

In addition to Don & Sue’s Hall of Fame awards, Texas Tradition Steel Guitarist, Lee Pettijohn, of Big Sandy, was presented with a Country Music Achievement Award for his life-long involvement in music as well as his accomplishments as an instrumentalist.

DON AND SUE LUMMUS TO BE INDUCTED INTO LONE STAR STATE CMA HALL OF FAME
HENDERSON, TEXAS

August 30, 2001
Don and Sue Lummus, of Henderson, Texas, have been notified that they were chosen to be inducted into the Lone Star State Country Music Association Hall of Fame for the year 2001. This honor is to be presented during their award ceremony in Beaumont, Texas, the weekend of October 11 through October 14, 2001.
The LSSCMA is one of the largest country music associations in the U.S., as well as Europe, with over 8000 members worldwide.

Don and Sue will be honored along with country music legends, Tillman Franks, Billie Jo Spears, and Texas music legends, Bennie Barnes, and B. Jeff Stone.
In addition to receiving this award, Don and Sue's band, Texas Tradition, will be featured as a "Spot Light" band during the showcase portion of the LSSCMA convention, as well as appearing on the "Best of Texas" television program, recorded during the convention for world-wide distribution via the Internet.

TEXAS TRADITION BAND NOMINATED FOR GROUP OF THE YEAR
HENDERSON, TEXAS
MAY 15, 2001
TEXAS TRADITION, a Texas Dance Music band headquartered in Henderson, Texas, recently received word that they have been nominated to receive the Independent Group of the Year Award. To be presented by Indie Tracker Magazine of Nashville, at their Golden Music Awards Show.

This awards ceremony is set to take place during Fan Fair, June 17, 2001, in Nashville, TN.
The annual award recipients are chosen by popular vote from fans and peers. Nominees are recognized for their contribution and dedication to Country Music, as well as their musical expertise. Voting is done mainly on the Internet on the Indie Tracker Magazine web site, but can also be done by writein.
Past recipients of the Golden Music Award have seen their music careers blossom as a result of this recognition.

Members of Texas Tradition include Don Lummus, Lead Guitarist and Vocalist, Sue Lummus, Vocalist, (both from Henderson), Lee Pettijohn of Big Sandy, steel guitarist, Vern Coldiron, from Gilmer, Bass Guitarist, and J.W. Lummus, from Laneville, Drummer.
